Health is the general body wellness. It is the situation where the body is functioning well. It means that the body is physically and mentally well with no illness. It is when we make choices spiritually ,mentally and physically to live healthy. when we are living healthy we are able to do many things and we are happy in general. This paper will outline tips to living healthy.
The major part of our healthy journey is the food that we eat. There is a saying that says that the number one medicine is the food that we eat. In order to live a healthy lifestyle we need to cook food that is healthy. Food that has nutrients that our bodies need for survival is healthy. The food must be balance in that it contains carbohydrates,proteins , healthy fats and vitamins. We should take non processed carbohydrates and healthy proteins. Cooked food rarely have all the nutrients that we require therefore we can supplement by taking dietary supplements. Vitamins, protein shakes and minerals are some of the supplements that we should take.
Exercise is another great way to stay healthy. Exercising ensure that the cells remain health. We can talk long walks or even enroll in a gym to do workouts. Engaging in cardio is good for the heart and maintaining a healthy weight. Building the muscle and losing fat can be achieved through weight lifting. We can also stay fit by jogging. Working out in general will ensure that we maintain a healthy weight which is necessary when we are trying to stay healthy.
Our bodies are made of water and therefore staying hydrated is good for our healthy. The recommended water intake per person in a day is 8 glasses. Sweating and urinating helps remove toxins from the body which occur as a result of water intake. By taking water we prevent constipation as well as improve our digestive system. Fresh juices, green tea are some of the fluids that we can take on top of drink water.
We should maintain our mental health. This is done by reducing the levels of stress in ones life. Stress leads to emotional disease that is caused by stress which comes from thing too much about our problems. It distorts your emotions and feelings which can be dangerous to your general well being. If not checked stress may lead to depression. If not treated on time depression being a mental disease can kill.
Maintaining a healthy body weight. Having a healthy weight is important in staying healthy. This is usually checked through the BMI that should be on normal levels depending on the persons weight,height and age. Being overweight could lead to diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart problems etc.
